GAMBARAN SIKAP DAN PERILAKU LANSIA TERHADAP DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE II

ABSTRAK
Jumlah lansia semakin meningkat. Salah satu penyakit yang sering terjadi pada lansia adalah DM tipe II. DM tipe II merupakan penyakit kronik dengan peningkatan glukosa dalam darah diakibatkan oleh resistensi terhadap insulin. Sikap positif sangat penting dalam perawatan diabetes. Perilaku merupakan cara mengaplikasikan fikiran, keinginan dan sikap seseorang. Sikap dan perilaku individu mengenai DM sangat penting dalam manajemen DM terutama pengobatan tahap pertama. Terdapat beberapa penelitian yang menunjukkan sikap dan perilaku pada peyakit DM tipe II namun bukan khusus kepada lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Sikap Dan Perilaku Lansia Terhadap Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Respoden berjumlah 57 lansia secara accidental. Analisis data menggunakan distribusi frekuensi . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden yaitu 33 orang (57.9%) memiliki sikap kurang baik. Kemudian sebagian besar responden yaitu 31 orang (54.4%) memiliki perilaku kurang baik. Kesimpulan, sebagian besar responden memiliki sikap dan perilaku kurang baik terhadap DM tipe II. Hasil menunjukkan perilaku dan sikap masih kurang baik sehingga harus ada tindakan keperawatan untuk meningkatkannya.
